"Energies for Research" is a project promoted by Enel Foundation and CRUI Foundation that aims at sustaining young researchers from Italian Universities through 20 grants of 15.000 €.
This financial support, together with the interaction with Enel Foundation researchers and its academic network, aims at sustaining research on strategic issues for the Italian competitiveness.
The initiative was launched with a promotional roadshow in many Italian universities: Bari, Milan, Genova, Naples, Palermo, Turin, Padua, Trento, Cagliari, Venice, Trieste, Florence, Pisa, Bologna, Pavia, Rome.
On July 11, 2013, Fulvio Conti, Chairman of Enel Foundation and Marco Mancini, Chairman of CRUI Foundation, awarded the 20 winners of the project "Energies for Research" at Enel Auditorium in Rome.
The 20 winners, selected among more than 300 project ideas on the field of energy and innovation, are currently developing research projects in areas such as corporate social responsibility, smart grids, demand-side management, local and national energy and climate policies, workplace safety and innovative recycling methods for photovoltaic panels.
The research projects will take place from September 2013 to July 2014 and results of the projects will be published within the EF Series.
